I'm not totally sure why, but the picture loader is putting some of my photos sideways, despite being correct on my computer. Sorry about that.

I've been using the iPhone app Instagram for about a month now. Its a neat little app that takes photos and loads them to a stream. You have friends to follow and be followed by, load photos to various platforms, and make stupid comments on the photos. The photos can have filters applied to make them look old, beat up, etc. Its not quite like Facebook or anything like that as most of the photos are not of ones self. Its more of a "look at how artistic everyday crap is" kinda photo catalog. I had originally linked all the photos I took with it to Facebook, but since I've killed my FB again its not a stand alone. Maybe once G+ get something linked I will use it on that. However, I'm following a few people, my favorite being KustomKing. He's into the rat rod/pin up/vintage moto scene. Even though his photos cover way more than just that scene, its all pretty interesting to look at. I need to find a few more to follow, as its just interesting pictures. My handle on Instagram is Octopus_7 if you're interested in following. I don't post often, but every once in a while....

Bigger than I thought
We've gotten quite a few Triumphs in, and there are more on the way. I didn't realize we'd become one of the biggest Triumph dealers in the Northwest. Jeezy, we got a great set up!

Changes
After spending some time looking at really good blogs (ie, way mo betta than mine) I made some visual changes to the blog here. I deactivated Facebook yet again, opting for Google+ for a while to see if its worth keeping around. So far, with the amount of inactivity and the few things that have been internet fluff posted, I'm not sure how active I'll be with G+. However, I think its a step in the right direction for clearing out the clutter and not paying as much attention to my phone. As I sat in bed with my wife yesterday, we were interrupted a few times within two minutes by FB updates hitting my phone before I finally just signed out of it. It was nothing even worth looking at, so now its gone. G+ doesn't even have an app for the iphone, so that saves me from looking at it too often.
I don't know if it was the glory of buying a new bike, being back in the shop regularly, or the bit of sunshine we've had, but I've been crazy about motorcycles again. Last summer I felt that I didn't really have any excitement for riding and I only rode the 636 around a few times (the DRZ had that blown counter sprocket shaft seal) and the fact that I cut my thumb off hindered my riding ability. This year, however, I've been on the bikes a lot, the DRZ is fixed and there is a new Triumph in the garage. I have a CRF250x to ride in the dirt and the cb500 will be getting more attention.
Summer is good. Life is good despite all of the set backs and lack of work. The world is still revolving and going on. I'm glad to be enjoying it.

Steve McQueen
I'm currently watching Bullitt. Great movie (really its all about the end car chase, but the rest has its place) and I got to thinking about how cool that dude really was. Its really too bad he died as early as he did, I think he'd have just gotten better and better with age. As I sat here looking up random stuff on him, I'm reading off little bits that I thought were particularly awesome, like how he'd race under fake names to keep the studios at bay, would donate huge amounts of stuff to the boys academy he spent time in, and how he was a trouble maker in the Marines and kept getting demoted because he would disappear with his girl friend (only to then work on self discipline and improvement which moved him up in ranks). Jake then simply said "He is the most interesting man in the world." And you know what? She's right.
Though you died before my time, you're still an inspiration to me and many. Long live the King of Cool.

Triumph!!
I now have one. MMWWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!! Not the bike I was expecting (or was even thinking was a contender) but its turning out to be a pretty cool little bike and I think I'm really going to enjoy it. I took it to work today for the first time and it was a heck of a lot more comfortable than my 636. Welcome, Speedmaster!

Eventually I'll get a Scrambler, and in the event that I keep this bike I'll chop it a little and make something cool. But until then I'll keep it pretty stock in order to maintain reliability and comfort. I'm even thinking I'll get stock pipes to put back on as the ones that came on it are WAY too loud. We'll see how it all plays out.
